RECOMMENDATION

Though Federation of Handicraft Association of Nepal has been successful in the promotion and increasing the export, there are some complications that have been pointed Unavailability of necessary and sufficient raw materials has been a major problem. Same way, over costing and instability in the cost of raw materials has been affecting the market. So, Government should consider the point and minimize the cost of raw materials. The design of products should be modified according to the current markets in the overseas countries. So, proper information is to be provided to all artisans of manufactures.Due to lack of capital, artisans are not being able to supply their products as per the demands in the markets. So, proper loan facilities should be given to those artisans. For the development of the products, appropriate training should be provided from the concerned departments or government organization for this purpose.

CONCLUSIONS

Handicrafts are one of the major exportable items of Nepal especially to overseas market. Most of the metal crafts industries in Nepal are operating on their household basis. The artisans have gifted skills but due to financing problem they are unable to expand their production. Most of the craft activities are hereditary in nature, so, they are producing in traditional style. The Nepalese craftsmen are operating in small scale and mostly illiterates, less are illiterates and those with educated minds are concentrated towards official works or services. They are still lacking modern technology and in the absence of proper training facilities regarding improved technology, use of new tools equipments for improved efficient metal crafts of Nepal is facing a big problem of qualitative products and price competition and design modification. Traditional backwardness in modern craft manufacture has caused Nepal to face a very hard time to continue its survival and growth in competitive world market.
